1. The Right Sound™ (15 & 16 August) - concluded very successfully

 

Here's my report:

The Right Sound™ English Pronunciation Programme
15 & 16 August 2009
@ 11C, Jalan SS 21/60, Damansara Utama

10 participants was full house!

This was the most smooth sailing programme so far! For the first time ever, we had full registration of 10 participants! And I didn't have to work extra hard to persuade them to sign up. They were more than willing to register because they really wanted to learn. Interestingly, we had 2 students (siblings) join this programme, also for the first time. And despite their being a very small percentage of the population, 2 Singhs joined the class!

Despite the large class, we progressed faster than ever through the syllabus! This was probably due to the participants being fast learners for one reason or another. Because of this, we had more time for additional activities which afforded more practice. In one activity, each participant had to name a favourite personality and then give a self-introduction as if they were that personality. In another activity, the participants had to share their craziest ideas of what they would do if they were given $1 billion. It was really funny. Of course, the participants had to speak with correct pronunciation as they made the presentations.

This time round, even I had to get into action when 2 participants were sent to me for one-to-one practice. One of them was later selected as the "most improved" participant which made me quite proud.

Basically, I am very happy with this programme. Little stress, great success! Hope this continues...

2. Dare To Speak™ (12 & 13 September) - class is full

 

The class is full earlier than usual because we offered a very low price for Muslims (fasting month) and we are having 4 participants from a company.

2-Day Dare To Speak™ Public Speaking Programme for Executives & Professionals

   14 & 15 November 2009 (Sat & Sun)
   9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
   @ Crystal Crown Hotel, Jalan Utara, Petaling Jaya
   Registration fee: RM 950 (early bird RM 750 by 23 Oct 09)

As usual, there's a super early bird of RM 650 for registration by 2 Oct.

   9 pagi hingga 5 petang

   Yuran: RM 800 (RM 600 untuk pendaftaran awal sebelum 12 Sept 09)

Pls hurry to sign up before 12 Sept to benefit from the early bird price. This is the first time we are opening this programme to the public. It's the same as Dare To Speak, only that it's in Malay.
